Rudolph du Preez

General Manager

Rudolph du Preez has led Sakura Ferroalloys as General Manager since 2024, having joined the company in 2017 and progressed through production, operations and works management roles. A metallurgical engineer, he previously held production-superintendent positions on large ferro-manganese furnaces in South Africa with South32 and BHP Billiton. He holds a B.Eng (Hons) in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pretoria and an MSc in Metallurgical Engineering from Stellenbosch University.

Chelsea Kennedy

Human Resources Manager

Chelsea Kennedy leads Sakura's human resources function, covering personnel management, employee and public relations, and corporate social responsibility. She has been with Sakura Ferroalloys since 2015 and was appointed HR Manager in 2020, bringing earlier HR experience from the oil and gas sector in Bintulu. She holds a Bachelor in Office Systems Management from Universiti Teknologi MARA.

Johann Gerber

Finance Manager

Johann Gerber has served as Sakura's Finance Manager since 2020, overseeing the company's financial management and reporting. He brings more than a decade of finance leadership from the ferro-alloys and mining sector, including senior financial roles at Glencore Alloys, and began his career in audit at EY. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, CA(SA), with a BCom (Hons) in Accounting from the University of Pretoria.
